Open House
We would like to welcome all Lancaster Families to Lancaster's Open House on Thursday, September 25th from 5-6pm.
This is a wonderful opportunity to:
- Visit your child’s classroom
- Meet their classroom teacher
- Learn more about what your child will be doing this school year

Scholastic Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school library from September 24th to 26th! Students will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair during the school day to browse and shop for books they love.
The Book Fair will also be open during our Open House (5:00–6:00 PM) on Thursday, September 25th—a great time for families to stop by together!
Every purchase helps support our school and encourages a love of reading. We hope to see you there!
Terry Fox Run September 2025
Once again, Lancaster is excited to participate in the Terry Fox School Run, Walk and Roll. This year’s theme is” Finish it “. Terry started a marathon against cancer and together, we can finish it! Since 1997, Lancaster has generously donated a total of $77,278.24. Over the next 2 weeks, we hope to add to that total by setting a goal of $1300. To help reach our goal, families can either donate online using the link below or send monetary donations with students to their classroom teacher. Whether it’s a Toonie for Terry, a Fiver for Fox, or a Ten for Terry, every cent counts!
The event will take place on Friday, September 26 (Rain Date Monday, Sept. 29). Families are welcome to come cheer us on in the back school yard at 2pm.

Pick Up and Drop off Routines
To help keep our students and staff safe, we kindly ask all families to follow our pick-up and drop-off procedures:
- Please do not pull up and stop at the front main doors for pick-up or drop-off. This creates congestion and safety concerns.
- A new sign has been installed in the parking lot to help guide safe parking and traffic flow. Please take note of the marked spaces and signage.
- At the end of the day, we ask that parents of children in Grade 1 and up meet their child on the back turf area of the school.

Congratulations Ms. McCullough
We wanted to share that after many, many years in education, Ms. McCullough will be officially joining the “retired” club as of September 25th!
Please join Ms. O’Hearn, Ms. Knowles and the Lancaster Team in wishing her all the best as she begins this exciting new chapter. While she’s stepping away from her current role, Ms. McCullough is looking forward to having the time and freedom to explore other professional opportunities and interests — and we have no doubt she’ll continue to make a difference wherever she goes.
